Sirjana Karki, is not the exception. Professionally, she is teacher of private boarding school in Chabahil, Kathmandu. The most popular Nepali Folk Rock Musical Band, Nepathya had a concert on Saturday in Jawalakhel ground with the slogan called ‘Nepal Will Rise Again’. The band performed its new and the old songs of different times.“We are victimized by the historic destructive earthquake of Baishakh 12 and 29, 2072. We had a irrecoverable loss of of lives and properties. But, whatever pain we had, we united and worked for the common benefit, it’s our identity,” the singer Amrit Gurung said in the program.

It was a charity concert. The money collected from the concert will be distribiuted among the social organizations called Sano Paila, Aishwarya Children Home, Work for Cause Nepal and Rise of Hope Nepal. The band equally active and popular among the Nepali music lovers regardless of generations. The main identity of this band is , it works for the life of those local rhythm and songs which are in the phase of extinction.

The most popular female singer Durga Kharel has come with her new solo album called YUG. We can hear the solo music composition of Arjun Pokharel. The album was launched on Thursday organizing a program in the capital. It was launched together by media person Bharat Shakya, Rajesh Khanal, Samipyaraj Timilsina, musician Ram Sitaula, musician Pokharel himself and singer Kharel. We can hear the lyrics of musician Kharel and Amrit Regmi.

Jyoti Magar has returned back to Nepal after finishing many musical programs in different cities of Australia. She has faced lots of controversies about her short dresses, fat body and bad presentation. When she was asked whether same thing happened in the tour of Australia too then she answered with smile, “This time nobody said such things to me. Instead people asked where do I get so much energy despite of having such fat body. They must have raised this question because they saw me dancing a lot while singing”.

UTA Organization and Bhutani Community of United Nepalese Artist Association, North America “UNAANA” cooperatively organized a cultural program in the Salt Lake City where Nepali Community honored our famous singer and musician Kanhaiya Singh. He was honored for his contribution in singing and music sector from more than one and half century and also for trying to spread Nepali arts and culture in North America.

The chairman of Bhutanese Community, Rem Neupane honored Singh with certificate where member like (Upadhakshya) of UNAANA Ujjwal Aryal, (MAHASACHIB) Raju Bajaj, chairman of Yuta organization Purna Gautam and (Sachib) Ishwor Prabashi ware present in the program. Singh has given his voice for more than dozens of songs like “Parishram Ko Choro…”, “Timle Bulna Sake Pani…”, “Timile Ta Ghat Gari…” and music for other dozens of song like “Kali Sundari…”. Similarly, he has also won dozens of award like Music Khabar Music Award 2014, capital award, etc. Recently he has established an organization for the rights of artists staying in America.

Artist Nipesh Dhaka organized a campaign against the environmental degradation occurring in the country and the effects of it in environment, surroundings and life of people. For the campaign he collected 321 artists to sing a song that gives message to aware people about the bad consequences caused by the pollution in the environment.

He recorded the song with the beautiful voices of 321 artists on 6th Jestha and said that this campaign will be registered in the “Guinness Book of the World Records”. Four studios of Radio Nepal were used to record the 33 minutes and 49 seconds long song. Music video will also be made for which he visited 53 different districts and made a documentary which will be presented in both Nepali and English language.

The grand daughter of former Prime Minister and chairman of UCPN Maoist Puspa Kamal Dahal, Prachanda, non other than Smita Dahal released her third album called RAGINI in between the grand program organized at Indreni Foodland and Banquet, on Wednesday. Her first and second album are SMITA and SMITA 2 respectively. The chief guest of the program Puspa Kamal Dahal, minister of culture and tourism, Ananda Pokharel, lyricist Yadav Kharel senior singer Deep Shrestha, Deepak Jungam launched the album together.

Gyanu Rana, Shree Purush Dhakal along with other senior personalities were also present in the program. All the songs were written by Yogendra Mani Dahal, music composition by Sunil Maskey, music arrange by Amul Karki Dhali and mixing and mastering by Kishor Thapa. The album contains total 5 songs. The music video of the song MALAI MAYA GARNE MANCHHE KASTO HOLA…was also shown in the program. The team members of the album were honored with token of love. Speaking in the program Prachanda said,” I love songs and music but i couldn’t join the field due to various reasons but i feel proud to have grand daughter in the same field. I wish her to meditate and dedicate to establish herself outstanding.”

On Jestha 30, Lyricist Saurabh Timilsina’s first solo album launching program and release of two music video from the album was organized in the presence of chairman of lyricist Yogendra Mani Dahal as the chief guest at Aryal Hotel, Naya Baneshwor. More personalities like Srawan Mukarung, Sital Kadmbini, Bijay Siwakoti, Anil Sthapit and Baboo Bogati were also present there as the guests. Market management was done by his own company Tulasi Entertainment. In the launched album there are altogether 8 songs in which we can hear voices of different singers. Album “PREM KATHA” containing modern songs by singer Prem Sen was launched in a musical program organized by Bhakta Raj Aacharya, his two son singer Satya Raj Aacharya, Sworup Raj Aacharya and the group. In that program singer Sen honored Bhakta Raj Siromani with the amount of 25 thousand and a (TAMAPATRA) saying that he is a great personality in music sector and is a motivation for the new generation.
